Residents of Ukraine who have registered at the Riga Support Center can receive a 100% fare reduction in public transport in the capital
Civilians of Ukraine who have registered at the Riga Support Center for the Residents of Ukraine can receive a 100% fare reduction in “Rīgas satiksme” buses, trolleybuses and trams. In order to receive the granted discount, you have to visit one of the customer service centres of “Rīgas satiksme” - in Kaļķu Street 1, Kurzemes prospekts 137, Prāgas Street 1, Spīķeru Street 1 and Brīvības Street 49/53. The specified fare reduction will be valid until December 31, 2022.
Visiting “Rīgas satiksme” customer service centre, you must bring an identity document and confirmation of the assignment of the personal number. The fare discount will be linked to the personalized e-ticket, therefore, when formalizing the discount, you must bring the previously issued e-ticket (personalized e-ticket, Riga resident’s card). For those customers who have not registered an e-ticket yet, it will be possible to issue it immediately during the visit.
Children from Ukraine who have already formalized and received their Pupil’s card do not have to go anywhere and can continue to use public transport with a 100% discount.
Although the fare reduction applied for the Ukrainian civilians is 100%, we remind you that when entering public transport in Riga - bus, trolleybus or tram - the issued e-ticket must be brought closer to the electronic card reader and the trip must be registered. A green signal on the recorder confirms that the registration was successful. At the time of ticket control, the registered e-ticket must be presented to the ticket control officer.
